Ice Maker Repair

Ice maker and water dispenser repair.

Built-in ice makers fail often — bad water valves, frozen fill tubes, dead modules, and clogged lines account for most calls. We repair in-door and top-mount ice makers on every major brand, plus standalone units from Scotsman, Manitowoc, and U-Line. Most repairs complete in one visit.

What do homeowners ask about Ice Maker Repair?

Why did my ice maker stop working?

Usually one of three things: the water inlet valve failed, the module motor died, or the fill tube froze. We test all three during the diagnostic and quote the fix at a flat rate. Most ice-maker repairs are under $260.

Should I replace the water filter first?

If your filter is over 6 months old, yes — try that first. Clogged filters starve the ice maker of pressure. If the filter is fresh and the ice maker still doesn't work, call us.

Do you repair standalone ice machines?

Yes. Scotsman, U-Line, Manitowoc, Hoshizaki — residential and light commercial. These units have sealed-system components (compressor, condenser, evaporator) we repair under EPA 608 certification.

My Sub-Zero built-in ice maker quit. Can you work on it?

Yes. Sub-Zero ice makers are part of regular service, including the 7000-series built-in modules and Viking Professional series. Parts usually ship from regional distributors in 2–3 days.

Is it worth fixing an ice maker or just buying a new fridge?

Ice-maker-only repairs are almost never worth replacing the whole fridge over — most fixes are $180–$280. If the whole fridge has other issues stacking up, we'll tell you honestly.

Our freezer died on a Thursday morning with a full load of meat. Called at 9, they were at the house by 1, diagnosed a failed evaporator fan, and had it fixed in under an hour. Flat-rate quote up front, no upsell.

Melissa R. Refrigerator Repair · Carlsbad

Front-loader kept stopping mid-cycle with an error code. Previous company wanted to replace the entire control board for $650. Repair Pro diagnosed a $180 drain pump and a partial clog. Working perfect again.

David K. Washing Machine Repair · El Cajon

Dryer took two cycles to finish every load. Tech walked in, knew immediately to check the vent line, cleaned 15 feet of lint out of the wall run. Saved me from buying a new dryer. Also spotted a brittle vent hose and replaced it.
