Can you convert gas to electric (or vice versa)?

Sometimes, depends on existing connections. Electric-to-gas needs an accessible gas stub. Gas-to-electric needs a dedicated 240V circuit and outlet. The tech evaluates on site and will tell you if a licensed electrician needs to run a new circuit first.

Can you remove and dispose of my old appliance?

Yes, with advance notice. Ask for haul-away when you book and the tech quotes it with the install. Refrigerators and wine coolers cost more to haul because they need EPA-compliant refrigerant recovery.

Is installation needed for a freestanding refrigerator?

Technically no, you can plug it in. But leveling matters (for door seals and ice maker drainage), and the water line needs a proper compression fitting or braided supply line to avoid slow leaks behind the fridge. A proper install is cheap insurance against both.
